Aves de Paso

Aves de Paso by Rey Cuba
Aves de Paso , a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

And we move through this world, in the streets we live by some of those fixed in a city or country were you born, other touring roads and other parts of the planet.

Always on the move, in search of the essence of the truth, the reason for the existence, we're in the life like birds passing by and sometimes some can make some mark on the road.

Dust to lost

Dust to lost by Rey Cuba
Dust to lost, a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

The Pope is visiting Cuba and all of the country is bustling of people dedicate in function of this event.

For many reason some people a reason to increase hope in the future, for others one more day with speeches and words in the air.

I just hope that as humans, as Cubans, we should try to be a bit better with our children, parents and friends, this will be enough for a better day.

The remains of the temple in Trinidad, i hope in my next visit to see more advanced of the reconstruction.

Cojimar´s Stories

Cojimar´s Stories by Rey Cuba
Cojimar´s Stories, a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

Cojimar got some stories as an small fishermen town, it´s people embrace the warm sea today as they did in the past as Hemingway tour their streets on his stories and friends.

Smile on their faces, fish odour, beer, running kids, this house stand in front of Hemingway´s favourite restaurant, it´s walls getting the last sun rays of this Caribbean afternoon.

Ledesma´s version of this my photo for his blog

Taxis

Taxis by Rey Cuba
Taxis, a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

Havana has been drown with cars from the 50´s, touring as hungry dragons the streets in search of their victims with a ticket in the hand negotiating their next destination.

Many have changed and renewed engines and move to a dizzying speeds by all sides, fight for the spaces on the streets but at fixed price, irremovable as statutes or laws.

All of this pack in search of the every day bread moves by the city operating a unique feature of our streets compared with any part of the world.

After Coffee

After Coffee by Rey Cuba
After Coffee, a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

I was strolling old Havana ´s streets when this sweet old man asked me, could you give me one peso for a coffee.

His daughter was calling across the street and making me signs not to give any money, he just run from his daily spot in front of the house toward the nearest corner.

He yelled her..."I´m just going to take some coffee at the corner cafee"... the daughter explained me later that this place no longer exist but in his memory.

After a while I saw his daughter giving him a cup of coffee and he surrender to a soft cigarette as every day.

In search of new dreams we walk and face this big ocean called live.

New dreams and old stories loose the moorings and embarked on a journey, sharing with the sea the great concert of this beautiful planet.

Fragilidad

Fragilidad by Rey Cuba
Fragilidad , a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

We care for women from the time we are born, and then we grow and they improves as they taught us,we turn into men and women under her mantle, later look for the love of their words, facts and kiss.

Women full of strength, sweet words, dreams, hopes, as strong as an oak and fragile before the deception and lies.

A fragility to be taken into account at present times, where her strength travels through the planet.

Have you have all women the best of the days.

Taoro's roots

Taoro's roots by Rey Cuba
Taoro's roots, a photo by Rey Cuba on Flickr.

A place full of history, dampness in the walls recalling old stories, the roots had taking possession of the space that should not leave.

The roots grow up in the walls to give life to a space which maltreatment so many, they grow pardoning much more than what the human learn in our lifetime.

These plants grow slow, enjoy the sun and rain, enduring tempests, breaking and winning the space that it was taken away.

The roots to become green the principle of the past. Have a happy weekend.
