And sometimes we are only a few steps from the place where everything is possible.

Sometimes I wanted to believe that the accompanying colors were predestined, the light that guides us is part of a master plan, other times I would like a road who guide my steps home, that house I remember with family near and smile around the table.

Sometimes I wish it was Sunday and my father rise up early to go and take us with him when not yet dawned. Stand together and shake the our legs at the bus stop while waiting for it. Sometimes I wish to burn my tongue with the morning hot chocolate and the smell of buttered bread slicing my senses.

Sometimes I think I ask for too much and that is why today I find colors along the way.

Out of focus

And sometimes each days get blurred with the next one , news crowd, the excesses, the troubles and you do not realize that gradually the horizon is not defined any more, first lightly, then becomes dangerously murky.

Then comes another day where a smile, a kind word or just a look would rescue from this world in which you've inadvertently submerged.

And you stay as a monument to the years early dreams searches, wizard of smiles, sadness interpreter marked by time. Many of your seats gave shelter to passers from this and other cities, many would be marked forever with what happened inside.

Wait for it...

Wait for it... by Rey Cuba

Yesterday I received the great news that my Nikon D600 had saved after my fall two weeks ago. I am smiling again.

Raul manager and technician from RCF read me the riot act (as we use to say in Cuba) ... if you are using large lenses...he said.. let the support point be the lens and not the camera. Beware of sudden torques or possible movement, the camera inside suffered much in its strong points and as Raul says, they had to fill it with brackets as the camera lost almost all the frame attachment.

At the end all went out was positive and I felt like these boys under a wave the last couple weeks, waiting for the reply. I thank to RCF and its people for their professionalism and dedication. We're back.

The city wakes up and with it , Saturday of conflicting emotions , ready with new energy and new fads to orient in space and I move to the place where it seems that everything is possible, there where we draw strategies and fell over time.

Seeking a new way to say , to talk about my time saying little and hoping that the reflections from clouding over the hours, the minutes pass quickly , so as I move through the rocks of the shore , someone shows dogs to stroll and take a quick bath in these waters of the caribbean, his phrase echoes in my ears over and over again ... you have to have bathrooms to avoid the smell ...

The dogs look very little appetite and allowed the owner to throw them into the water over and over again , quickly returning to shore. I happen to think with how much resistance we return again and again on our heels and we repeat the same ideas, perhaps to convince , perhaps to catch us.

A few meters later waves catch a piece of green that remains alive and bright, eager to photo from this spot, I started moving with my camera mounted on the tripod, Laura tries to make me give up, when she saw in my eyes the will, she just told me .. . go , but beware , I'll wait outside ...

I advance a few meters , I approach the wall and start to take the first steps when I slipped and uncontrolled and my bare knees hit the rock, for a moment I forget the pain that overwhelms me and look at the camera that mounted on the tripod lies just inches of the water. Instinctively I pull the battery and start to feel the pain in my knees tightly , one bleeding.

The rest is history , the Nikon D600 was break apart, I read many times , many times I hear the stories of others who stumbled and lost their equipment, I thought could not happen to me. This Saturday took care to remind the fragility of days and then at home , with a little more calm , review my steps and I am glad that only my camera and my knees suffered something this tough encounter .
