Te he visto ya otros veranos cerca del muro, refrescando tus tardes lejos del atestado espacio que compartes con tus hermanas.

Te observo atenta al golpear de las quietas aguas sobre las piedras de la costa.

Te encontré soñando despierta sobre otros días y otros mundos más allá del horizonte.

Te vi hoy como otras tardes cuando el sol se aquieta bajo las aguas y sales repleta de luz cuando las sombras se apoderan de estas calles.

Te soñe tantas veces que no recuerdo cuando fué la ultima vez que te dije que te amaba.

Te he sentido tantas veces y nunca te he dicho, Gracias mi Habana.

I've seen and other summers near the wall, cooling your evenings away from the crowded space you share with your sisters.

I watch carefully how the salty waters hit the stones on the coast.

I found you daydreaming about other days and other worlds beyond the horizon.

I saw you today as other evenings when the sun settles down under the water and you wake up full of light when shadows take over the streets.

I dreamed you so many times I can not remember when was the last time I told you I loved you.
