Cuba fashion
Rey Cuba Photography

And the word, the island, the people, the archipelago we call Cuba became the hot topic of the planet for a few months. Experts about the Cuba subject are everywhere, we had received the visit from actors, models, artists, businessmen, comedians, experts in trade, travel and architecture.

Apparently everyone has opinions about our way of saying, dress, talk, some treat you with sympathy, others just come to his own, in search of something to be shared on this island that has been here for many years, but before they dared to visit, much less to comment.

Today Wednesday March 4 must be going through TBS an special program about Cuba, "the first late night show" on the island, a refreshing and joyful vision of Cuba, earrings few key chain version of Obrien's on Havana, how many will form their opinions after seeing the show, which reflects the vision of one man and the team that assisted him during those days in Havana.

How many will remain with arms stretched and open eyes, not to give, not for pity, but to collaborate with respect to dialogue with restraint, to treat as equal to islanders which do not have access to world ¨tech¨y ¨modern¨ outside its  borders and not be considered as  second-class citizens.

How many will remain pending for this piece of land on the planet, when fashion Cuba pass..

D600 in Havana

Sorry I am using google translator.

Yesterday was one of those days that after leaving work I think about the magnificent sky, so returning home I found a place in Malecon the seawall where Cuban had spent time and managed to found an angle that reflects, the beautifully threatened  clouds over the city represent

So I take out from my backpack the shutter , tripod, neutral density filter and closed the diaphragm to F/16, 120 seconds , all set to try to make the most of the moment.

The rain threatened to come and go its choppy , with that haste under my hands , shoot without noticing the white balance that the previous day had set in fluorescent , but I think nothing that can not then resolve with camera raw.

Once back home I started to edit , I found from scratch the round dots that this wonderful D600 give us everytime you close the aperture a bit . Edit as much as I could with the patch tool , as they where all over.

But it was not until I made the conversion to gray and increased the contrast that I realized that not only the city had been threatened by rain, but dozens of points darkly hid in the clouds like measles, brainstorm meteorites or contagious disease took hold of heaven. What a hard time has given me this D600 .

Just 2 days ago, I tried to blow into the sensor area to remove any dust or dirt accumulated. My D600 had around 20,000 shots and still upsetting my days this spill drops of oil on the sensor , I've sent to clean 2 times a specialized technician.

I wasn't expecting at this stage a D600 would not give me so many free oil drops over the surface of the sensor, low pass filter or cover whatever you want to call.

I will had to pay another visit  to the camera doctor

Have a nice day.

Como si fuera domingo

Como si fuera domingo by Rey Cuba

Sometimes I wanted to believe that the accompanying colors were predestined, the light that guides us is part of a master plan, other times I would like a road who guide my steps home, that house I remember with family near and smile around the table.

Sometimes I wish it was Sunday and my father rise up early to go and take us with him when not yet dawned. Stand together and shake the our legs at the bus stop while waiting for it. Sometimes I wish to burn my tongue with the morning hot chocolate and the smell of buttered bread slicing my senses.

Sometimes I think I ask for too much and that is why today I find colors along the way.

Out of focus

And sometimes each days get blurred with the next one , news crowd, the excesses, the troubles and you do not realize that gradually the horizon is not defined any more, first lightly, then becomes dangerously murky.

Then comes another day where a smile, a kind word or just a look would rescue from this world in which you've inadvertently submerged.
